Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Up to one year additional technical or specialty training, preferred.
• Two or more years related experience in a hospital or surgical office setting including computer, surgical case scheduling and leadership/oversight experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates OR case schedule and estimates time needed by surgeon, ensuring staff availability and equipment needs.
• Manages case additions, cancellations, and schedule changes while checking for conflicts.
• Reviews OR block utilization and communicates findings to leadership to maximize utilization.
• Maintains scheduling data in hospital computer systems and ensures data synchronization across schedules.
• Ensures patient information is complete and accurate; finalizes schedules and distributes to departments.
