Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital to deliver high-quality perioperative care.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to assess patients, plan and implement care, and ensure a safe operating room environment. The role requires an accredited nursing degree and current RN license, with BLS required and ACLS/PALS preferred or as required by the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS Basic Life Support; ACLS/PALS preferred or required within 6 months depending on department requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgical team and maintain a safe, comfortable environment.
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate with other providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care and discharge instructions.
