Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Operating Room at St. Rita's Medical Center in Ohio. The role involves collaborating with the care team, conducting patient assessments, and ensuring a safe surgical environment.

Responsibilities include pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, coordinating with the surgical team, and providing discharge instructions. RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required or pursued per policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS and/or PALS preferred; must obtain prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and surgical team and assist to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate needs with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions.
