Job summary

Mercy Health's Operating Room is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality perioperative care at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The role focuses on coordinating anesthesia and surgical nursing during pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, assess patient status, implement care plans, and ensure a safe, healing environment for each patient. Requires OR internship or perioperative experience where available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate or Bachelor of Nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• BLS/ACLS or PALS certification (preferred at hire, must obtain).
• CNOR and SGNA preferred, not required.
• Two years of RN experience in Critical Care (preferred).
• OR internship experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage RN care in the OR and coordinate needs with the team.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
