Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield, OH is hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for inpatient surgery at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The RN will deliver high-quality perioperative care, assess patient status, and support the surgical team in a fast-paced OR setting.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, current RN licensure, and CRITICAL CARE experience; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are expected, with CNOR and SGNA preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, CNOR and SGNA are preferred or may be required.
• Two years of RN experience in Critical Care; OR internship in perioperative setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to deliver patient care in OR.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment and plan care.
• Support surgical team to maintain a safe, efficient perioperative environment.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care and discharge instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
