Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience; management experience preferred.
• BSN required; if not BSN, must enroll within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
• BLS certification required; ongoing professional development expected.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager using systematic approaches to improve nursing practice and department operations.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Participates in staff huddles and meetings to share information and promote dialogue.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws, healthcare regulations, and internal policies.
• Rounds on patients, staff, and physicians to assess care quality and satisfaction.
• Delegates care elements to appropriate staff according to policy parameters.
• Identifies outcomes and directs continuity of care and department workflow.
• Monitors progress toward goals and communicates updates to the team.
• Performs nursing tasks, assists with treatments, and administers medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing levels based on volume and acuity.
