Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced nurse leader to oversee staffing, resources, and quality of care across the department. You will coordinate staff, supplies, and systems to ensure optimal patient outcomes and cost-effective operations.

You will drive evidence-based practice, participate in shared governance, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and collaborate with physicians, departments, and vendors to develop new services and improve patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• RN license in the practicing state.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Typically 5 years nursing experience including 1 year supervisory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of nursing management concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and resources.
• Proficient with computers and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources to provide optimal nursing care.
• Manage staffing levels and scheduling.
• Evaluate quality of care using standards and indicators.
• Develop service strategies and improve patient satisfaction.
• Serve as liaison among patients, staff and other departments.
• Promote evidence-based nursing and governance participation.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory bodies.
• Assist in developing new services and revenue opportunities.
• Handle HR responsibilities including recruitment, promotions, performance evaluations.
