Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Hospital offers an Operating Room Nurse Residency Program designed for nursing students completing their senior practicum. Participants will be paid a stipend while working alongside Mercy nurses in circulating and scrub roles across multiple service lines.

The program runs for five months, followed by an additional month of mentorship, with residency hours Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm. Mercy provides comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Operating Room Nurse Residency with classroom didactics, online learning modules, and hands-on clinical practice.
• Residency lasts 5 months with mentorship of 1 additional month.
• After residency, transition into specialty mentorship with focused training in the assigned service line.
• Residency hours are Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with a 30-minute call time requirement.
