Mercy St. Louis Hospital offers an Operating Room RN Residency & Earn as You Learn Program for nursing students transitioning to Mercy coworkers. Participants engage in classroom didactics, online learning, and hands-on practice, with a 5-month residency and 1-month mentorship.

After completion, nurses enter a focused specialty mentorship within their assigned service line. Residency runs weekdays, 7am–3pm.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school is required.
• Current RN license in Missouri is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 5-month OR RN residency with an additional 1 month of mentorship.
• Transition into a specialty mentorship after residency for focused service-line training.
• Residency hours are Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with a 30-minute call time requirement.
