Job summary

Mercy is offering an Operating Room RN Residency & Earn as You Learn Program for nursing students at Mercy Hospital STL. This 6-month contract post-graduation includes paid practicum time while training alongside Mercy nurses.

Nurses must complete the RN residency in the OR to qualify and will join a team at Mercy St. Louis, a Level I Trauma and Burn Center, with comprehensive onboarding and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 5-month OR residency with structured learning.
• Receive 1 additional month of mentorship after residency.
• Transition into specialty mentorship with focused training in the assigned service line.
• Residency hours are Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm with 30-minute call time.
