Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Hospital offers an Operating Room Nurse Residency designed for nursing students who will complete senior practicum hours while earning a stipend.

Participants must accept an RN residency in the Operating Room to qualify, with a 6-month contract post-graduation. The program provides classroom didactics, online learning modules, hands-on clinical practice, and mentorship across OR teams, with residency hours 7am-3pm, Monday–Friday, and opportunities for growth within Mercy's

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in the State of Missouri.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Residency length: 5 months; mentorship for 1 additional month.
• Following residency, transition into specialty mentorship with focused training.
• Residency hours: Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with 30-minute call time requirement.
