Mercy St. Louis Hospital offers an Operating Room RN Residency & Earn as You Learn Program designed for nursing students. The residency blends classroom didactics, online modules, and hands-on practice to prepare nurses for circulating and scrub roles in OR settings.

Participants receive a stipend during senior practicum and a pathway to a mentorship after residency, with opportunities across general, gyn, orthopedics, ENT, and specialty lines, all within a Level I Trauma and Burn Center.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in the State of Missouri.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete the OR residency with classroom, online modules, and hands-on practice.
• After residency, transition into a focused mentorship in the assigned service line.
