Job summary

Mount Carmel in Columbus, OH is seeking a Float Pool Casual Inpatient OR RN to join our surgical services. This part-time role offers day and night shifts, and requires Ohio RN license, BLS, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will assess patient needs, assist the provider, administer medications, educate patients and families, and document care. Candidates should have nursing school diploma, eligible online competencies, and ACLS/PALS in required areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program and eligible for Ohio RN licensure.
• Active BLS/CPR certification; ACLS/PALS as required in specialty areas.
• Ability to work independently and with a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Administer medications under provider direction per policies.
• Assist in emergencies and educate patients and families about procedures.
• Document care accurately and maintain charting per standards.
• Coordinate care and supervise other care team members when appropriate.
