Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide patient care in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The RN will collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality care, perform assessments and procedures, and educate patients and families.

A valid Ohio RN license and BLS/CPR are required, with EMR experience preferred. The role supports day and night shifts and emphasizes teamwork, documentation accuracy, and adherence to hospital policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• 18 months of recent clinical experience in their specialty area.
• Complete online competencies with 80%+ to be eligible.
• Specialty ACLS/PALS/ECG requirements noted in job description.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Assist provider with patient assessment, examinations and treatments.
• Perform basic medical procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications per policies and guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes.
• Supervise other care team members as appropriate.
