Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across the care continuum. The Nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and support the Nursing Process within organizational standards.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, administration of medications, documentation, education, and assisting in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• 18 months of recent clinical experience in the specialty area.
• Complete online competencies with 80%+.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP knowledge and emergency ACLS/PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients; assist with patient assessment, examinations and treatments; perform basic procedures under provider supervision.
• Administer medications under provider direction.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Entrust care duties to other licensed/unlicensed staff as appropriate.
