Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks an OR Technician to support anesthesia teams by setting up monitoring equipment and assisting in the OR. You will calibrate monitors, assist with line insertions, and ensure readiness of supplies for procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing patient monitoring systems, transferring patients as needed, stocking carts, and maintaining equipment safety and readiness. Candidates should have BLS and at least 1 year in a surgical or related setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 6 months unless exempt
• Typically 1 year experience in surgical/healthcare setting
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Sets up monitoring equipment in the operating room, including ECG, temperature cables, and patient monitors.
• Assists in arterial line and catheter insertions and blood sample collection.
• Calibrates pressures and recording systems for accurate readings.
• Transfers patients to and from the OR and maintains ECG/pressure monitoring at destination.
• Maintains and stocks anesthesia carts and non-disposable equipment; troubleshoots malfunctions.
