Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks an Anesthesia Tech to support the anesthesia team with patient positioning, monitoring setup, and equipment readiness. You will assist anesthesiologists during exams, inductions, and procedures, ensuring all required supplies and devices are prepared for safe patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and 1–3 years of related work experience; CNA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS through the American Heart Association required.
• One to three years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Aids team members with patient positioning and comfort activities.
• Assists anesthesiologist with exams, blood draws, inductions, epidurals, spinals and blocks.
• Maintains anesthesia equipment, reports malfunctions and contacts repair service as needed.
• Maintains stock inventory and records of all drugs, IV solutions, instruments and supplies used by the department.
