Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to support the operating room by preparing and maintaining anesthesia supplies and equipment. You will assist the anesthesiologist with setup, calibration, and monitoring, and help with intubation and IV insertion when requested.

The role requires high school completion, an accredited anesthesia tech program (or equivalent experience), BLS certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualificações

• High school graduation or GED/HSED required.
• Accredited Anesthesia Technology program (A.A.S.) preferred or relevant experience.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot medical equipment and calibrate equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good staff communication.
• Ability to walk/stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares, assembles and monitors supplies for anesthesia prior to use.
• Sets up, tests, calibrates and provides dialing checks on anesthesia machines and monitors.
• Assists with intubation and IV insertion when requested.
• Maintains IV fluids and may witness blood products as needed.
• Keeps records and coordinates with Clinical Engineering for maintenance.
• Assists with positioning patients and notifies anesthesiologist of vitals.
