Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and deliver high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostics, and help manage appointment schedules to ensure efficient, thorough exams.

The role requires familiarity with eye treatment terminology and industry certifications (CPO, CPOA, CPOT), along with strong attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced setting. On-site with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation and diagnostic procedures.
• Schedule referral appointments and complete related paperwork as needed.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and office policies.
• Assist with post-exam tasks and manage the doctor’s appointment schedule.
• Support diagnostic testing with equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Perform end-of-day wrap-up and keep areas clean and organized.
