Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and display a professional image.
• Answer telephone calls promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations and prepare patients for exams.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully and identify special needs.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling and filing of patient records.
• Support retention and follow-up calls for exams (NEE calls, confirmations, no-shows).
• Place contact lens trial orders and manage the contact lens room.
• Input patient data, insurance information and eye care services into the CIAO system.
• Maintain a safe working environment and assist with inventory of supplies.
