Job summary

LensCrafters in the United States is seeking an Optometric Technician (part-time) to deliver the LensCrafters Experience, assist the optometrist during eye examinations, and ensure accurate patient records and prescriptions. You will support the store's patient-facing goals and collaborate with the doctor and retail teams.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Leadership skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.

• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations, including taking medical history and preparing patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; identify special needs; consult with Optician/Management when necessary.
• Handle and file patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and contact lenses in exam rooms.
• Support retention and cultivation of exams including follow-up calls.
