Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and vision tests.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through care and education.
• Interview patients to assess health and ocular history.
• Educate patients on options for refractive errors and diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Provide post-operative and pre-operative patient care.
• Identify systemic diseases and refer to physicians as needed.
• Promote eye health and advise on lens technology and coatings.
