Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking an optometrist to conduct eye exams, build long-term patient relationships, and educate patients on eyecare options. The role includes interviewing patients, diagnosing vision issues, and prescribing glasses, contacts, and medications.

The optometrist will also provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgery patients, promote eye health, and collaborate with staff to recommend the best lens solutions and coatings.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and vision tests to diagnose sight problems.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Perform patient interviews to collect health, ocular history and vision goals.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgery patients.
• Advise on remediation options for refractive errors and ocular diseases.
• Educate patients on eye health and lens technology with staff support.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to opticians and sales staff.
