Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group in Ohio seeks a licensed Doctor of Optometry to perform comprehensive eye exams, discuss findings with patients, and support the practice's growth by building lasting relationships through education and quality care.

You will evaluate vision, diagnose ocular conditions, prescribe glasses, contacts, and medications, and participate in pre- and postoperative care while promoting eye health and the latest lens technologies.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed program.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and assess ocular health.
• Build long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Interview patients to determine health history and visual needs.
• Advise options for refractive and ocular treatments; hand off to staff when appropriate.
• Promote loyalty and the Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Perform vision tests, analyze results, and diagnose eye conditions.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications as needed.
• Recommend treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehab.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery.
• Evaluate for systemic diseases and refer to other providers when needed.
• Counsel on eye health and lens care; communicate with opticians about lens specs.
