Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent with at least 2+ years in optometry/healthcare
• Solid knowledge of optical terminology and diagnostic testing
• Able to follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient records
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to work weekends/evenings as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and eye exams; manage patient records and flow
• Perform tests to aid the optometrist (visual acuity, color/depth perception, retinal imaging)
• Review prescriptions and patient information; consult with Optometrist or Practice Manager when needed
• Maintain organized records and safety compliance; handle contact lens exams/orders
• Operate POS system and process sales transactions per procedures
• Ensure equipment maintenance and disinfection; provide clinical support as needed
• Support scheduling, patient communication, and flexible adaptation to exam scenarios
• Adhere to attendance, dress code, and company policies
