Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician in Colorado to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience?

Training will be provided to learn about the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience. Some weekend and evening shifts may be required. You will document patient history, prepare the patient for exam, operate pretest equipment, and help ensure a smooth flow to the Doctor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand basic math.
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about optometry industry, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, accurately document existing conditions and complaints, and chart medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and additional office staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures to which they will be exposed during appointment.
• Learn to use all pretest equipment to perform a range of visual screenings for patients prior to visiting with the doctor.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team members to provide seamless patient experience.
