Job summary

MyEyeDr. seeks an Optometric Technician in Maryland to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience needed; comprehensive training will be provided.

Expect weekend and evening shifts as needed to ensure high-quality patient care. The role involves testing, patient prep, and collaboration with the Doctor and team to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience. Compensation ranges with location and experience, and MyEyeDr.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with ability to understand basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, accurately document existing conditions and complaints, and chart medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures they will encounter during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment to perform visual screenings prior to the doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide a seamless patient experience.
