Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician in East Longmeadow, MA to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. Training will be provided, and weekend/evening shifts may be required to ensure seamless patient flow.

No optical experience is necessary to start, with comprehensive onboarding to learn pretest equipment and exams. You will document medical history, assist with screenings, and help patients feel comfortable throughout their appointment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with ability to understand basic math.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player to deliver best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures they will encounter during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
