Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams and performing initial testing. Training is provided, and no prior optical experience is required, with some weekend/evening shifts.

You will perform preliminary testing, document medical history, and help ensure a smooth patient experience while collaborating with the optometry team to deliver high-quality vision care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with basic math ability.
• Personable and patient with excellent communication.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history prior to exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for seamless patient experience.
