Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, running preliminary eye tests, and measuring vision parameters.

No optical experience is required; training and tools will be provided to learn pretest procedures and assist with patient flow. You will work with a collaborative team, weekend and evenings shifts may be required, and you’ll help deliver a best-in-class patient experience while growing your career in a purpose-driven

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient demeanor essential for screening.
• Detail oriented with ability to work closely with optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about optics, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for prep of exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and prelim testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
