Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry, performing preliminary tests and measurements before exams. Training will be provided, and the role includes weekend and occasional evening shifts to ensure a smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

You will learn to operate pretest equipment, assist with patient prep, and help train patients on contact lens use, collaborating closely with the team to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain patient flow to the Doctor and office staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they'll encounter.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
