Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. Training will be provided for those new to optics, with some weekend/evening shifts required.

The role ensures a best-in-class experience for patients while helping them see and live their best lives. Starting wage ranges from $16.00 to $19.50 per hour, depending on experience, and the company complies with wage laws with the minimum pay at or above applicable minimum wage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with basic math understanding.
• Personable, patient, ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures encountered during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver a seamless patient experience.
