Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and learning the pretest equipment essential for quality vision care. No optical experience is required as training will be provided.

You will contribute to a smooth patient flow, ensure comfort during procedures, and work as part of a collaborative team dedicated to helping patients see their best life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work closely with optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and services.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document existing conditions and medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform a range of visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
