Job summary

Olympus Vision in the United States is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and ensure high‑quality patient care. You will perform pre‑testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to deliver a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, documenting findings in EHR, coordinating referrals, and performing clerical tasks as needed while working on-site. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certifications: CPO, CPOA, or CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-exam testing and assist optometrists.
• Schedule referrals and manage paperwork.
• Maintain patient records per HIPAA and policies.
• Handle telephone inquiries and follow-ups with patients.
• Conduct diagnostic tests with specialty equipment when needed.
• Assist with end-of-day tasks and keep clinic organized.
• May act as scribe or perform refractions.
• Other duties as requested.
