Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors in delivering a world class Total Patient Experience. This role handles a wide range of duties, using optical equipment to perform initial testing before an exam with an Optometrist.

The position requires at least 1 year in customer-facing work, preferred medical office or ophthalmic experience, and work eligibility in the United States. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role or equivalent.
• Background check clearance as required by state.
• Proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Comply with company policies including HIPAA.
• Operate ophthalmic testing equipment (lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, OCT).
• Follow scripting for testing, perform tests, and document results.
• Maintain and clean examination equipment (tonometer tips, etc.).
• Interact courteously with all staff and patients; support general office duties.
• Support a positive, patient-focused team environment and accommodate scheduling needs.
