Job summary

Olympus Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support our optometrists and deliver high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-testing procedures, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth patient flow.

The role requires familiarity with eye care terminology, completion of industry certifications (CPO/CPOA/CPOT), and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-exam evaluations of patients.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure flow.
• Record and maintain patient records (HIPAA).
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medication/treatment.
• Operate diagnostic testing equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry).
• Document medical findings in EHR and assist with clerical duties.
• Pre-appointment/ recall confirmations to maximize schedules.
• Conduct contact lens insertion/removal classes and manage inventory.
• End-of-day wrap‑up and scheduling tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of the practice areas.
• May act as a scribe for the Optometrist.
• Perform other duties as requested.
