Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and taking measurements. Training will be provided for pretests and screenings.

You will help maintain a smooth patient flow, ensure comfort with procedures, and work with the care team to deliver an exceptional patient experience, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with basic math ability.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
