Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience in our Champaign, IL location. You will support the optometrist during exams, greet patients, and ensure accurate records while upholding HIPAA and data integrity.

Responsibilities include patient history collection, test administration, inventory management, and assisting with contact lens orders; you’ll collaborate with retail staff to link clinical and store operations and deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Assist optometrist during eye exams; obtain medical history.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records.
• Input patient data and fees into CIAO system.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of exam rooms.
• Support retention calls and appointment scheduling.
• Assist with contact lens orders and lens room upkeep.
• Ensure safe working environment.
