Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support eye care teams and help deliver exceptional patient experiences. You will perform pre‑testing, assist with diagnostic testing, prepare patients for exams, and maintain accurate records.

You will coordinate scheduling, communicate with patients, and help with end‑of‑day duties, ensuring efficient operations and high‑quality care from start to finish. Familiarity with HIPAA, EHR documentation, and CPT codes is preferred. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to details and ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co‑workers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before exams and assist with pre‑testing.
• Support specialty diagnostic testing and manage scheduling for doctors.
• Record and maintain patient files in compliance with HIPAA and CPT codes.
• Respond to patient inquiries and assist with referrals and follow‑ups.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of frames, equipment, and work areas.
