Job summary

Family Eyecare Seria is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and ensure efficient, high-quality patient experiences from check-in through post-exam procedures. You will conduct pre-exam testing, assist with diagnostic procedures, and help maintain accurate patient records in an on-site clinic environment.

The role requires experience with eye exams, familiarity with ophthalmic terminology, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms used in eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (e.g., dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and manage doctor’s appointment schedule.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• Assist with clerical duties related to medical documentation and billing.
