Job summary

AEG Vision in Holly Springs, NC is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with Optometrists, supporting pre-testing, specialty diagnostics, and post-exam tasks to ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.

You will perform tests (dilation, auto refractor, OCT), document findings in EHR, manage referrals and scheduling, and help with clerical duties while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients' records per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Assist Optometrist with pre-testing and post-exam tasks.
• Schedule referrals and appointments; manage doctor’s calendar.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR; HIPAA compliant.
• Perform diagnostic testing with equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Participate in end-of-day wrap-up and maintain exam rooms.
