Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists with pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and patient education. You will help schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure a high-quality patient experience from start to finish.

The role requires experience with eye exams and related medications, familiarity with medical terms, and industry certification (CPO, CPOA, or CPOT). On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification: CPO, CPOA, CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before the exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds, Optomap, auto refractor, etc.).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Schedule referral appointments and manage paperwork as needed.
• Maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant systems and ensure accurate CPT coding.

Skills

Experience evaluating patients for eye
