Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our clinical team in Massachusetts. You will work alongside Optometrists to support patient care, perform pre-testing, and assist with diagnostic testing to ensure high-quality, efficient patient experiences from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities include scheduling, maintaining EHR records in compliance with HIPAA, and providing education to patients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office and Windows.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Schedule and manage the doctor’s appointment calendar to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Maintain patient records in EHR systems and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Conduct patient interviews prior to visits to relay important information to the Optometrist.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/removal and related inventory tasks.
• Support clinicians during exams and may scribe or perform refractions as needed.
