Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician in Indiana to support Doctors of Optometry with patient preparation, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training and tools are provided, and some weekend/evening shifts are required.

You will work under the Office General Manager and ensure a smooth patient experience, assisting with screenings and education as patients move through the visit. Healthcare/optical background is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic math skills to assist with testing.
• Personable and patient, able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during the visit.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
