Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Centennial, CO is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient preparation. No optical experience is required; training will be provided to learn pretest equipment and vision screening.

Weekend and evening shifts may be required. You will document medical history, manage patient flow, ensure patient comfort, and train on contact lens care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document existing conditions and medical history to prep for the exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they'll encounter.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
