Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support our Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary testing, and documenting medical histories. Training will be provided for those new to the optical field.

You will help ensure a smooth patient flow, assist with visual screenings, and contribute to a high-quality, patient-focused experience in a collaborative team environment. Weekend/evening shifts may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with basic math ability.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history to prep for optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
