Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided if you have no optical experience, and weekend/evening shifts may be required.

You will learn to operate pretest equipment, perform visual screenings, and assist in delivering a best-in-class patient experience while supporting the Doctor and team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Personable and patient with ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment and perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
