Target Optical in Phoenix is hiring an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and assist the optometrist during exams. You will greet patients, manage records, and support patient scheduling and follow-up routines.

The role emphasizes accuracy, strong communication, and professionalism in a fast-paced retail/eye-care environment within EssilorLuxottica’s Target Optical network.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations; obtain medical history and prepare patient.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; identify special needs and consult with appropriate staff.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient records.
• Support retention and scheduling of exams, including reminder calls.
• Place contact lens orders and manage the contact lens room.
• Input patient data and fees into the system with accuracy.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
• Support retail operations as capacity allows.
