Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Familiar with eyewear and able to describe features and benefits.
• Experience with optometry, electronic health records (EHR), or medical care.
• Knowledge of healthcare technology systems and equipment (EMR, retinal cameras).
• Completion of a CPOT certification or Optometric Technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between doctor and patient, establishing rapport.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exam appointments.
• Train staff on insertion/removal training for contact lenses.
• Manage patient flow and appointment confirmations to ensure a seamless experience.
