Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the Total Patient Experience by performing initial testing with optical equipment to prepare patients for exams with an Optometrist.

The role requires 1+ year of customer/patient interaction, medical office experience preferred, and adherence to HIPAA. Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook; travel not required. Strong teamwork and physical ability to handle routine office tasks are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent education/experience
• Favorable result on background check as required by state
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT
• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies
• Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.)
• Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip
• Interact professionally with all levels of staff at all times
• General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused, patient-centered work environment
• Meet scheduling needs which may include weekends and extended hours
